Thankful for Alpha Flight

It’s been a really good few months for True North since it went out into the world. I continue to hear from folks who are enjoying it and it is selling a few copies per month, which makes me happy!

I have a couple things to plug today. One for me, and one for someone else!

First, I am having my very first book signing. Ever! And it’s happening at First Aid Comics in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, which was my first LCS. James, the owner, has always been wonderful and was a breeze to work with singing this up. So if you are in the Chicagoland area (or know folks who will be) the Saturday before Christmas/right in the middle of Chanukah/right near the Winter Solstice/a random day on the calendar, swing by and say hi! I will have copies of True North for sale and buttons to give out!

New professional headshot = using it on everything

Second, I challenged Brett White to come up with some Alpha Flight shirt designs inspired by the Mantlo run. And by that, I mean I pestered him. And he came through with three shirt designs- including a two-sided design- that you can order for yourself over at his TeePublic store. I’ve been ordering shirts through TeePublic for years- I love that you can pick the color and softness of the shirt (here’s a hack- select the jersey fabric for a softer shirt at the regular price). I get nothing from Brett for this- I paid for my shirts just like anyone else- so I am just supporting a designer and plugging him because I love these designs.

I like to believe Heather answered each and every letter

Did you ever think you would see Manikin on a shirt? Because I sure didn’t!

I need to order another of these in purple for OBVIOUS REASONS

I mean, look at the talent listed!!!!

Anyway, that’s what I’ve got for you today. If you have to spend money today- support small restaurants, independent artists, and authors who decided to not sell via Amazon!
